We are thrilled to bring you the cover for the next standalone from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kylie Scott.

IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME will release on AUGUST 7th!

"Addictive like all Kylie Scott books, you'll swoon, laugh, ache, put your life on hold, and compulsively read until the wee hours of the night—only to reread the whole thing the next morning. Perfection!" - Katy Evans, New York Times bestselling author Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at eighteen hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was. Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation—confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. The man had to be just as glad as everyone else when she left town. Seven years later, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but a fully grown adult more than capable of getting through the wedding and being polite. But all it takes is seeing him again to bring back those old feelings. Sometimes first loves are the truest.

BLURB Their love always sizzled but after a misunderstanding, it suddenly fizzled. What drove them apart might just be what brings them back together again.

Max is a good guy. He’s rich, handsome, smart and normal. Things are getting pretty serious between us but there’s a problem—technically, I’m already married to a starving artist rock star wannabe.
When my former best friend invited me to her celebrity bridal shower, I went mainly out of curiosity. When she asked me to be her maid of honor though, I wanted to run for the hills. If I didn’t need my estranged husband to sign those divorce papers, I actually would have.
Instead of giving me a divorce, he gave me something else. The truth about the ending of our marriage.
Suddenly, my life with Max doesn’t seem so appealing. The rock star I had run from for all those years is suddenly the man who’s awakened something in me—something I thought had died a long time ago. And damnit, it feels frickin’ amazing!

N. Franko is a reader of all things funny, romantic, magic, scary, dirty or nerdy-basically anything that's words on a page. A huge fan of authors like Chuck Palahniuk and Sophie Kinsella, she spent much of her days daydreaming of being an author while failing hard as a reporter and production artist for a small town newspaper before taking the plunge and writing her first book, Technically Scripted. When she's not writing, she's playing drums in a noisy synth-pop band with her rock star husband, annoyingly taking pictures of everything, drinking coffee or watching an obscene amount of television.

Book Review: Spark by Tracy Brenton

My Review:

This was my first book by this author and it wont be my last. This book had me hooked from the start I never wanted to put it down. This is the story of Alex and Jake.

Alex, returns home to find her brother in a coma and a hot stranger in her brother's house and working at his garage.

Jake is by far the perfect hero. Just the right mix of arrogant and sweet but he also cooks. I love a man who can cook.

I can't wait for the second book in the Tempest Beach series.

Book Review: High Tide by Tracy Brenton

My Review:

This is a short story but a great start to a series. I do wish it was longer but it was still great. I read it in one sitting.

This is a short story about Lilly, who has one wish for her sixteenth birthday for Liam to see her as more than just a friend.

I look forward to reading more of the series Tempest Beach. The fast pace of this story and emotional turmoil of the main character had me hooked from the beginning. I do wish I had read this before I read Spark (Tempest Beach Book 1).

Book Review: A Beautiful Kind of Hope by Cathy Johns

My Review:

Beautifully written debut novel. I can't wait to read more by this author.

A Beautiful Kind of Hope is an unusual romance between a billionaire and a stripper. Her characters are deep, and I simply fell in love with Hope and Taylor. I loved this story it flows awesome and it's easy to read. The characters all fit nicely and It's hard to pick that one character that I really like because for me I loved all the characters.

Hope is a young woman in her early twenties, who has the burden of being the sole financial and are provider for her mother and her much younger brother. She is a very strong woman, who has a flair for independence and can be very stubborn at times. It was these traits that endeared her to my heart.

Taylor is in his late twenties, a self-made billionaire who has come from a broken background, he knows first hand the struggles many families have in life.

The author knows how to write strong characters that jump off the page. I adored the twists and turns that they experience and I'm hoping to hear more from their friends in any future books.

Book Review: Once Upon a Time by A.L. SImpson

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it wont be my last. It had me hooked from the start till the end and I never wanted to put it down.

Piper Malone has been best friends with Dalton Fisher for years. He is four years older than Piper but the two have always been extremely close and their families are close as well with both fathers in the Navy together.

When a tragic event occurs Piper tries to help Dalton through and seems to be making headway until his girlfriend shows up and Piper is left on her own to deal with her own grief.

The end was great and I was so happy how things turned out! Will Dalton realize who is there for him the most before it's too late? I find this is a must read.

Book Review: The Cleaner by Kiersten Modglin

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. This book had me from the start and I never wanted to put it down.

This is a must read. This book is well written.

Reagan could always depend on Gunner to be there when she needed him. They started out as friends then as they spent more time together their connection became deeper and she was falling in love with him. But of course it was all too good to be true because one night he just disappearedand she never saw or heard from him again. Until eight years later when she heard a know at the door.

What was he doing back after all this time. Can he be honest with Reagan as to why he just disappeared?

Book Reviews: Pitch His Tent by Jenika Snow and Jordan Marie

My Review:

This book is a sweet and sexy novella with an ex-military alpha and his best friend's little sister.

Lexi has been in love with Beau for as long as she can remember. When she finally made a move, he pushed her away. Years later, she's decided to go camping for a week to shake off her previous relationship when the one person she's never gotten over ends up being at the camp site next to her.

Beau has been running away from Lexi and his feelings for her since she was seventeen. He's been warned to stay away from her and that's what he's done. Until he finds her in his tent and he can't deny those feelings any longer. He knows the second he has her, he won't ever be able to let her go.

A super cute quick read. I loved how sweet but possessive he was with her and I loved how she's only ever had feelings for him. I did want to know what happen with her brothers return though.

EXCERPT

Stone What a ridiculous waste of a night. I couldn't sleep for shit because I couldn't get HER off my mind. My dick was rock hard half the night and semi-hard the rest of the night. I had to jerk it off before I came downstairs. Hell if I was going to have Celine see me with a hard-on! That being taken care of, I shrugged on a pair of cotton lounge pants. I didn't bother with a shirt or shoes. The only sound in the quiet house was my bare feet hitting the tile. Luckily, I was the first one up, so crisis averted. I was going to need a shit-ton of coffee in me to get through the day, so I started a pot. I had half of it down when she walked in the kitchen. Fuck. Me. She was wearing nothing more than a thin light pink tank top and a very short pair of sleep shorts in the same shade of pink. The girls who wore pink were always these giddy, immature creatures. They were girls, not women. Constantly giggling at stupid shit. The sound made me want to stab myself in the ears with hot steel rods. Suddenly, all I could hear was Aerosmith singing of the virtues of pink, my new favorite color. She wasn’t wearing a bra. Her perfect tits were outlined by the material. I saw the entire outline of her nipples through her top. Great, now I’m fucking hard again. She stopped when she saw me. At first, I wondered if my obvious woody scared her, but I was hidden by the island buffet. There was no way she could see it. Her skin blushed all over. What could she be embarrassed about? I was holding the coffee pot in my hand. I raised it and asked, “Want some?” She blushed even more. Damn, she looked so fucking good. It took every bit of strength I had to keep from laying her down across the counter, right now. Valerie let go of a shy smile, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. “Yeah, I could really use some coffee.” She sat down at one of the breakfast bar stools. Coffee? Oh yeah, I’m holding the fucking pot. Pour her some coffee, shithead! I took a mug from the cabinet and filled it. “Creamer?” She nodded. “There’s French vanilla, hazelnut or half and half,” I called from the open fridge. “Hazelnut,” she answered. Great, she even drinks her coffee the same as me. Sweet. Twinsies! I snickered at my own sarcastic thoughts and shook my head. “What’s so funny?” She bristled. “Easy there, killer. I was just noticing that we drink our coffee the same way and thought Twinsies,” my voice took on a sing-song tone. I fisted my hands under my chin and raised my voice as I said Twinsies like a stupid teenager. I rolled my eyes at myself as I turned to get the creamer from the fridge. Smooth one, Stone. She laughed. I turned and stared at her, completely dumbfounded. She had a great laugh. It was nothing like girls who wear pink giggling like brainless zombies. I had no desire to gouge my eardrums. She cocked her head to one side. “Twinsies, huh? That’s a word I would have bet my life I would have never heard come out of your mouth.” She was smiling brightly. She looked like an angel.

My name is KAE Galla and I’ve loved writing since before I knew how. I’d sit with my mom and grandma telling them exactly what I wanted my story to be, and they would write it down under misshapen scribbles I tried to pass off as art work. It wasn’t until years later that I finally decided to go full throttle with my passion and share it with the world. Now, thanks to the support of my loving family and great friends, and an amazing team, my dream of becoming an author are reality. My heart is in Paranormal Romance, and Romance in general, but I love challenging myself and broadening my horizons so you can beat there is more to come.

Book Review: Snared Rider by Jessica Ames

My Review:

Debut?? Really. I find it hard to believe. I love MC books and this is one of my favourites. I can't wait to read more from this new author.

I never wanted to put the book now. Hell I stayed up most of the night Tuesday night just to read it. I kept telling myself 1 more chapter then I'll go to sleep then it was left on a good part and I just had to keep reading to find out what happened next.

Beth got her heart broken by the love of her life so she left town years later she's back and trying everything she can to stay away from him. Logan is the SAA for the club.

Will she forgive him? Will they move on? Will they get back together? You will have to go read this amazing book to find out.

I so can't wait for book 2. I need it now.

Book Review: Soaring by K.K Allen

My Review:

I loved this short story! It is very well written!

Soaring, a girl is embarking on a one way trip aboard an Alaskan Cruise Ship, sailing to their new home. As any normal teen would be, she's apprehensive of the trip. Change. It's always so uncertain.

This sweet story follows the young love of Emma and Luke. The interesting twist was definitely not expected. This is definitely a story that makes you think. It's inspiring and beautiful and although short, really enlightening and unique.
