Book Review: The Fall Of Troy by DR Rebecca Sharp

My Review:

The Fall of Troy is book one of The Odyssey Duet. It is a taboo teacher/student romance that is also a enemies to lovers. This is Leo and Troy's story. From beginning to end it was an emotional roller-coaster.

Professor Leo Baudin has basically been exiled out of Paris, after throwing a chisel at a student didn't bode well hence why he's currently filling in at Rhode Island. A man cloaked in darkness not able to let go of his past, not able to move forward, life is at a standstill.

Eighteen year old freshman Troian Milanovic aka 'Troy' starts anew after a devastating betrayal and a brutal kick to her self esteem. Being a semester behind her fellow students she's starting over fresh at Rhode Island School of Design. She's not here to make friends. She's here to buckle down and prove to her parents even though they are divorced that she is worthy.

Their journey to be together is hard but it is there’s. They fight each other as much as they fight for each other. This isn't a hearts and flowers kind of romance, this is gritty and raw. This is truly a story of love and hate. I cannot wait for the second book in this duet!

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.

Blog Tour: Kings of Mayhem by Penny Dee + Giveaway

Kings of Mayhem
The Kings of Mayhem MC Book 1
by Penny Dee
Genre: MC Romantic Suspense

When a King loves

He loves hard

CADE
I’ve loved her since we were five years old.
We grew up side by side.
Two kids tied together by the Kings of Mayhem Motorcycle Club.
But I broke us.
I broke her.
So, she fled.
Now she’s back after twelve long years.
And I’m going to show her all the reasons why we should be together and make her forget all the reasons why we shouldn’t.

INDY
I’m back in town but only because I have to be.
I’m here to help my mom bury my father.
And the sooner we get it done, the better.
Because I want to see Cade as much as I want a hole in the head.
He broke me once—no, he broke my everything— and I’ll be damned if I’ll let him do it again.
Get in and get out. That is the plan.
But you know what they say about best-laid plans.

For readers 18+. May contain triggers.

Brothers In Arms
The Kings of Mayhem MC Book 2

Someone is going to pay.

But who?

CADE
They took someone from me.
And I’m going to make them pay.
In blood.
But before I can do that, I have to make sure my girl is safe.
And I will do whatever I have to, even break my own heart, to make sure she survives.
Because she is my queen.
My everything.

INDY
He’s changed.
His grief is overwhelming and I can feel the gap widening between us.
Someone is coming after the Kings of Mayhem MC.
And we are trapped as they play out their evil scheme.
Because under the cover of darkness, they are coming for each of us, one by one, to play out their own twisted vendetta.
And no one is safe.

For readers 18+. This book contains profanity, explicit sex, and violence including murder and one madman’s psychopathic tendencies. It also contains two people destined for one another and how they keep it together when everything else around them is falling apart.

Biker Baby
The Kings of Mayhem MC Book 3

I was about to make a huge mistake.

And when I say huge, I mean, approximately ten inches’ worth of mistake.

But after the week I’d had, this was just what I needed. A night of big bad mistakes with a big bad biker.

Honey Scott
Finding out your boyfriend is a cheating loser is a real buzz kill. Finding out you’re actually the other woman, is devastating. Call it temporary insanity, but I decide the best way to get over the loser I’d dated for two years is to get under a biker with tattoos, dimples and a hard body he knows how to use.
He’s going to make everything better with numerous mind-blowing orgasms. But just for one night.
Except one faulty condom means my one-night stand isn’t so one-night after all.

Caleb Calley
After a night of insane sex, the beautiful blue-eyed brunette gave me the slip. And even with all the women on offer afterwards, I can’t get her off my mind. So when she turns up at the Kings of Mayhem MC compound I’m quick to give her a second night of amazing sex and crazy orgasms. But this time, I’m not ready to let her go.
There’s just one problem— she’s not interested.
But if she thinks she’s going to give me the slip again, then she’s got another thing coming. I know she is keeping a secret from me but I don’t care what it is. I want her and I’m going to make her mine.

Biker Baby, book three in the Kings of Mayhem MC series.

Book Review: Sacrifice by S. Valentine

My Review:

This is the second book I have read in this series. This is Laina and Alastair's story. I didn't connect with these characters quite as much as I connected with Tegan and Kael from Vengeance, but I still loved it and never wanted to put this book down.

Laina loses out on a promotion to someone that clearly doesn't deserve it, she gets dumped by text and then she finds out she's going to have to work for Alastair Kingsley. The day has not started out well and that is how the book begins.

Laina and Alastair are both broken people carrying secrets around with them. They both have dreams of having it all but believe they can't for different reasons.

The book had a good storyline and is well written. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book Review: Vengeance by S. Valentine

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. I never wanted to put this book down. This is Tegan and Kael's story. This is a fast paced quick read that I quite enjoyed.

Kael is the VP (Vice President) of the Savage Outlaw. Teagan wanted to please her parents like her older sister. She just wasn't the same. She liked the wild side and had a friend to encourage her.

For years Tegan Myers has attempted to fit in. Tegan’s best friend Gen invites her to hang out at a biker’s club and Tegan jumps at the chance. Tegan is strongly attracted to Kael and it grows worse when she manages to get a job at the Outlaws main hangout and clubhouse. Kael also feels the overwhelming physical desire for Tegan but knows if he gives into it he could lose everything.

I love Kael he is now one of my book boyfriends lol. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book Review: Shift by Tonya Clark

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. Shift is the first book in The Sign of Love Circle Series. This is the first motocross book I have ever read. I don't know a lot about the sport but I have been on the back of a bike when I was 5 or 6 and it was just around a family friends place (they made a track out the back in the bush).

Cammie Mitchell has landed her dream job which has surprised her. She has taken a job as a medic for what she thinks is a rodeo team but imagine her surprise when she finds out that instead of bull riders it is actually the Sandy Racers motocross team. Kade Maddox is the number one rider in Texas he is arrogant and a womaniser but he knows that.

The author has done a great job at writing a good book. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The only issue I had was I got to the end of the book. I was so not ready for it to end and I want more. I hope we get more Cammie and Kade.

Book Review: Kings of Mayhem by Penny Dee

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. Kings of Mayhem is the first book in the Kings of Mayhem MC series. This is the story of Cade and Indy, but it's also about so much more. It's about family, those you are born into and those who you choose.

Indy and Cade are MC Royalty. They have a lifelong friendship that lays the groundwork for a deep and abiding love. Even when outside forces try to dismantle it.

With plans for the future, one night, one action changed that path for both of them. Twelve years later, Indy is home to bury her father.

Cade has never moved on from her and vows to win her over again while she is home. Indy is afraid to put her heart in line to get hurt again. The one thing they both can agree on is the draw to one another is still there.

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. This ends on a cliffhanger.

I received a copy of this book as part of a blog tour. I am voluntarily giving my honest review.

Book Review: Falling For You by Gianna Gabriela

My Review:

This is the third book in the Bragan University series. GG you have done it again. From the opening pages to the very last paragraph I was hooked. This is my favourite book in this series.

Zack and Emma meet one night at a party, but when they meet up again, Zack doesn’t remember her. Emma isn’t surprised, she is the type of girl who keeps to herself and loves to read.

Zack is a football player. He works hard for what he has accomplished. Things are not easy for him. Between football, classes, work and studying, Zack cannot fit anything more in his schedule. But when he fails his biology final his coach finds him a tutor to help him pass.

Emma is smart, shy and beautiful. During her free time she normally has her nose in a book in her dorm room until she receives and email from her father demanding a meeting with her. Now she is forced to tutor one of his football players over Christmas break and she isn’t happy.

My Review:

Another awesome read by this author. This is Natasha and Luke's story.

Luke's hot but he's not sure what he wants from life anymore either but he needs a place to stay and when his sister sets him up to live with her best friend it seems perfect.

Luke moves in there is instant chemistry and while the two of them fight their attraction as much as they can because of the situation they’re in. Eventually, they give up the fight and give into their feelings and work on a relationship together

Book Review: Taming the Beast by JF Holland

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. Taming the Beast is the second book in the Eternal Mates series but can be read as a standalone. As this series is a spin off of 'The Bound Series' its suggested that you should read it after Fae Moon (Book 7) and before Fated by the Moon (Book 8) but you don't need to. This is Nathan's story, its all about him finding his mate Maria and its quite a journey.

Nathan is a bear shifter. Nathan doesn’t think he could have a Mate, after his fated Mate was killed by a drunk driver. Fed up, that every time he meets someone he thinks could be his mate, they choose one of his friends, he decides to up and leave. He doesn't get very far as he only gets as far as Liaisons. Now all he has to do is shift and escape right? Wrong. He can't seem to but on the plus side there is Maria, his keeper at the Wildlife Park he is now stuck in.

Maria is an animal lover and works at a wildlife park. She isn't overly confident around men but animals she comfortable with. Maria had a seriously bad breakup and has pretty much sworn off men but her friend Trina nags her till she gives in. Maria got a match instantly and had a date on Saturday night but he never came which just added to her self doubt.

I am going to go and read The Bound Series and also Immortal Flame (Book 1) then I can't wait for the next one in the series Fae Lover.

Book Review: Booth by Theresa Hissong

My Review:

This is the ninth book in this series. They should be read in order. I loved this book. I read it in one sitting.

Booth is a guardian. He has watched those around him find their mate. He has helped train some of the females of the pride. Someone new has come to the pride, Jade O’Connor. Jade has come to the Shaw pride because of rumors she has heard that the Shaw Pride are allowing female guardians. They aren’t. The females do help guard the pride but they are not guardians. They are mates but won't touch as they don't want a mate, but each day it gets harder to ignore.

Another five star read in this series. I can't wait for Noah and Landon's book. I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.
