Book Review: Marcel by Rennie Rivera

My Review:

I love finding debut authors. For her first book and being a new author she did amazing. Marcel is the third book in the new series Rogue Enforcers. This is Marcel and Emmi's story.

Marcel is a tiger shifter who had an accident and missed out on being an Enforcer. He opens his own private investigation service.

Emmi is also a tiger shifter. She is also on the run from her ex with her daughter.

If you like shifters, you'll like this one. All the books in this series just keep me wanting more. I can't wait to read the next one.

Book Review: Maxwell by Livell James

My Review:

Another five star read from this author. Maxwell is the second book in the Rogue Enforcers series and LJ did a great job of fitting in the world Grace Brennan has created.

Maxwell is a Black Falcon shifter and has always wanted to be one of the Enforcers. Max did get to train with them for a short time but due to an injury, he was asked to leave. The day he left the Enforcers was the day the Rogues asked him to join them.

Alley is a fox shifter who was involved in an accident and sent to a human prison. This accident involved another shifter and should never have involved the humans, but a human saw Ally running away and she was in human form. Now that Ally has escaped the Rogue Enforcers need to find her before the humans do.

I do want to know what happened with Alley's dad. Why was he so adamant about her joining his pack? Was it a power thing or did he want her to mate with a certain person? Also the wolf part. Is it still there or did it go dormant again once they left pack land?

I definitely recommend this series for all shifter fans.

Book Review: Bound by Air: Aquarius by C.D. Gorri

My Review: This was my first book by this author and it won't me my last. I am so excited to see where this series goes. This is Troy and Andrea's story. It was such an amazing story. Magic, shifters and romance. Troy is a Thunderbird shifter who is also a Zodiac shifter and Andrea is a Romani. He was called into action for his first case. She is having a really bad day, she is caught in a spell. He rescues her and puts her directly into cuffs. Can they put all this behind them so he can claim her as a mate or will they have to break their tentative connection forever. Troy and Andrea was the first of the Zodiac shifters who has found their fated mate. I can't wait to see what happens for the Wardens next. Book Review: Taming the Beast by JF Holland

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. Taming the Beast is the second book in the Eternal Mates series but can be read as a standalone. As this series is a spin off of 'The Bound Series' its suggested that you should read it after Fae Moon (Book 7) and before Fated by the Moon (Book 8) but you don't need to. This is Nathan's story, its all about him finding his mate Maria and its quite a journey.

Nathan is a bear shifter. Nathan doesn’t think he could have a Mate, after his fated Mate was killed by a drunk driver. Fed up, that every time he meets someone he thinks could be his mate, they choose one of his friends, he decides to up and leave. He doesn't get very far as he only gets as far as Liaisons. Now all he has to do is shift and escape right? Wrong. He can't seem to but on the plus side there is Maria, his keeper at the Wildlife Park he is now stuck in.

Maria is an animal lover and works at a wildlife park. She isn't overly confident around men but animals she comfortable with. Maria had a seriously bad breakup and has pretty much sworn off men but her friend Trina nags her till she gives in. Maria got a match instantly and had a date on Saturday night but he never came which just added to her self doubt. 

I am going to go and read The Bound Series and also Immortal Flame (Book 1) then I can't wait for the next one in the series Fae Lover.

Book Review: Blackwing Beast by T.S. Joyce

My Review:

This is Beast and Kiera's story and OMG what a story. I couldn't wait for Beast's story. He was my favorite member of the D-Team. 

Beast is a monster of a man and a lion shifter. 

Kiera is a rogue ex lioness who was in Apex with Kane. She's running to keep something precious from the lion pride. She hopes Kane will be able to help her.

Kiera, the poor girl she had been through so much. The D-Team just dragged her in kicking and screaming, but she accepted them and they accepted her. 

Can Beast keep Keira safe from those hunting her and his own self? 

This is the first series I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoy her light and fun writing style. I can't wait to read more from her.

Book Review: Blackwing Wolf by T.S. Joyce

My Review:

Dustin and Emma were adorable together.

I didn't like Dustin in the first book, so I wasn't too sure if I would like this book. They are amazing characters with pasts that are completely different and yet together they can make each other better.

I wasn't sure if Dustin and Emma where go to mate. I hated his brother. Dustin is so funny, yet so broken. The whole Blackwing crew is. Emma was a great character who had a rough start in life but was still full of love and laughter.

Blackwing Wolf was just as good as the first, and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

My Review:

Zohar is THE Enforcer for the Wolf Council. He's ruthlessly doled out some of the worst punishment and dealt with some of the worst Alpha's. His job is taking a toll on him mentally. When he gets sent to save a wolf pack from the evil Alpha and his team, he doesn't expect for his life to change so much.

When his best friend Danko suggests Zohar could be experiencing the Hunger, he brushed off as being ridiculous. But could it be?

Maisy refuses to be her Alpha's new plaything. He has committed so many atrocities against the pack, especially the females, that she will fight him to the last breath. But when he makes an example of her friend, Maisy's usually meek and mild personality gets an infusion of pure anger and hatred and she sees red. When Zohar and the other enforcers arrive and deal with her Alpha she finds herself drawn to the large, looming Enforcer. She should be terrified of him...so why isn't she???

Book Review: Blackwing Defender by T.S. Joyce

My Review:

This is my first book by this author and wont be my last.

Logan Furrow had a grizzly bear inside of him that was broken because of the choices the human side made. He was looking for someone to put him down when his previous Alpha couldn't go through with keeping his promise. Logan went to apply to be a part of the Blackwing Crew where he met the beautiful, curvy and sassy panther shifter, Winter. There was this deep pull between Logan and Winter that the former found very intriguing and terrifying at the same time.

Winter Donovan, a Panther shifter who was a city shifter, but things went wrong then she found herself in a dark place until she went to the Red Havoc Crew. Technically she wasn't a member, just stayed there because she didn't know where else to go. She was in love with Brody but the man betrayed her when he strayed leaving her heartbroken and feeling like she didn't belong. Even the Alpha of the Havoc Crew, Benson Saber knew that she stayed out of loyalty. He gave her an opportunity to find a place where she could find what she seeked and/or needed. 

Winter made her way to Smoky Mountains where Dark Kane and his mate, Rowan Barnett were looking for new members to be a part of their Blackwing Crew. On her arrival, she met some very interesting shifters especially a bear shifter by the name of Logan.

Can't wait to read Dustin's story next!

Book Review: Mating Season by Theresa Hissong

If you have read Theresa's series Rise of the Pride you have already met Drake Morgan. This is another awesome read from her. I have been dying to read Drake's book from the minute I first meet him in the Rise of the Pride Series.

Tessa is thankful that she was able to find two places to work at in her new town after having to escape her crazy ex-husband, even it if means she only gets one day a week off to do things for herself.

Drake is growing impatient finding his mate but he knows that it will be impossible to find the one if he is always on his land and not pursing his bear's mate. But Drake hates humans, and the only place where they do not come is his land that he shares with his two brothers.

Tessa knows about shifters, but she's never met one before Drake and his brothers. And she's definitely never met a bear shifter. Just when Tessa and Drake are getting used to the idea of being mates, trouble comes into town when Tessa's ex is hunting for her.

Now I want a bear shifter as a mate. Where can I find my own? I can't wait for more of the Morgan Clan. I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: The Healer by Theresa Hissong

My Review: This is the seventh book in the series and they need to be read in order. Pride is back from a rescue mission. This is Harold the packs healer’s book. His love comes in an unusual form. As soon as Harold sees her his panther knows she is their mate. But how can she, when she is a wolf and he is a panther. What starts out as concern for his patient quickly develops into much more. Luna is trying to recover from her time as a hostage. She also knows right away that Harold is her mate. She also knows she is different than other wolves. She is now the last of her kind. Book Review: Kye by Theresa Hissong

My Review:

This is the sixth book in the series and they need to be read in order. This book on Kye and Evie as they come into maturity. They will finally get to see if they are fated mates or not. What will they do if they aren’t? Even if they continue to date and live like they are one day one of them may find their true fated mate. The pride is still on edge with the community out there. Talon is faced with the changing times and with how he must move the pride forward. 

Kye and Evie have been in love so long and they will finally be able to see if they are true mates or not. Things are emotional the closer they get to finding out. Some of the guys still aren’t crazy about some of the girls training.

Book Review: Ranger by Theresa Hissong

My Review:

This is the fifth book in the series and they need to be read in order. I absolutely love this series. Hope arrives at the Shaw Pride close to death. She needs the Alpha to heal her. She is fleeing from her old pack. Ranger meets her at the gate when she arrives and his panther knows she is theirs immediately. Hope isn’t like most females. She was taught how to defend herself and she isn’t going to stop now. She believes all the females should be trained if they want to. Hope knows Ranger is her mate however she doesn’t want to put him danger. 

Ranger has an old injury that couldn't be healed, but he is still one of the best Guardians the Pride has. Hope has scars from the cruelty of her prior Alpha.

So much happens during this book. I love the buildup that is happening through all the books. The community is charging ahead with their agenda and the Shaw Pride is going to protect their own. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Book Review: The Birth of an Alpha by Theresa Hissong

My Review:

This is a quick but beautiful read. You can feel the love between Talon and Liberty, and the family dynamics and closeness of the pride. Talon is faced with the declining health of his beloved mother and the approaching birth of his cub all at the solstice when members of his pride will compete to be guardians of the pride. I can't wait to read Ranger's story. There are changes coming to the pride.

Book Review: Savage by Theresa Hissong

My Review:

And the author has done it again. Another awesome book.

Mary Grace is a human waitress in the bar that sisters, Liberty and Nova own. Mary Grace's creep of an ex trying to sell her to the scientist, he accidentally stabs her with a knife and leaves her for dead, Savage comes, touches her and realizes that she is his mate, he turns her and the majority of the book is about Mary Grace coming to terms with being a panther and then there is the build up with the scientist.

He has always been so protective of Mary Grace, I knew she was gonna be his at some point. So much happens to her in such a short time period that I really do not know how she was able to stay sane, other than the fact that she is a strong woman.

I am looking forward to reading the next book 'The Birth of an Alpha'. If you haven't started this series yet and you love Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance then you need to head over and get a copy. Your can get a e-copy of Book 1 'Talon' for free. So far all 3 book I haven't wanted to put down. Cant wait to see what happens in the other books.

Book Review: Winter by Theresa Hissong

My Review: I really liked the first book in this series and I started Winter straight away after finishing Talon as I just had to know what was going to happen next in the pride. The best part of starting a series that already has a few books published is that I can just keep reading. Winter was a made panther, not born. His panther knows instinctively that Nova is his mate. Yet he refuses to touch her to find out for certain. Yes, Nova is attracted to him, their bantering, arguing ritual is well formed now but still he holds back. The other member of his pride will tease and taunt him but he is determined to not touch her. This is another awesome story but the author. I would recommend this story and series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance fans. Book Review: Talon by Theresa Hissong

My Review: I love my shifter books and this is the first one I have read based on a Panther shifter. The book had me hooked from the start and I never wanted to put it down. I just had to started book 2 before I wrote this review as I just had to see what happened next. I love this authors books and this one is just as good as her others. The most interesting thing to me is that a mated or potential mate female will feel pain at the touch of another male other than her mate. This is something different as I have never read a shifter book with it. These panther shifters know their mates not only by instinct but also by the first touch as well. This group of Shifters is a secretive as most except they have now been discovered when two panthers in Talon's Pride are photographed in their shifted forms on the edge of the forest. Talon is now forced to explain their existence, their non-threatening presence to the humans and still keep from acknowledging that there are other Shifters out there. Unfortunately, the villain in this story doesn’t accept that Talon avoided acknowledging other Shifters, he only sees that Talon’s non-specific answer has outed every shifter, everywhere and in his deluded mind Talon must now pay. Liberty owns the local bar. She and her sister, Nova, run the place since their father’s death. She’s always felt an attraction to the tall, handsome Talon, although she only knew him from the times he and his friends frequented the bar for food and drinks and man could these guys eat. When an accidental casual touch alerts Talon that Liberty is his mate he is at first torn between the fact that she is human and the need to devote himself to his pride. Liberty is unprepared for her entrance into the Shifter world. Liberty and Talon make a good couple. Both strong willed, stubborn and totally committed to each other. They will make mistakes and missteps along the way some worse than others, but at their core is a couple who will fight for each other no matter what. Book Review: Gunner by Elaine Barris

My Review:

This is my first book by the author and it won't be my last. I am loving this series so far. The vampire thirst stories are great. This book had me hooked from the start.

I love how you not only get Gunner and Imogen's story but you get some of Lee and Piper's aswell. 

Gunner was investigating a possible traitor in the Directive and in the process gets sent to jail as part of a bigger conspiracy. Jana starts to suspect something's wrong and agrees to temporarily release Gunner so he can keep investigating. 

The traitor is always one step ahead of them and complicates things when he abducted Imogen which results in Gunner quickly succumbing to the Thirst.
