Cover Reveal: A Bridge Between Us by K.K. Allen

A Bridge Between Us, an all-new suspenseful, small-town romance from USA Today bestselling author K.K. Allen is coming November 19th, and we have the gorgeous cover!

I had always known he wasn’t mine to keep, but that didn’t change the way I loved him—quietly, gently, and from afar.

As the seasons changed, the corn stalks grew strong, and the grapevines flourished with hope. But none of it mattered, not when the soil at our feet bound us in a century-old rivalry. We’d never even had a chance.

They said life flashed before your eyes on the way to death, but on that night, after my final scream burst from my throat and my world started to fade to black, I only thought of him. Of his sweet chocolate eyes, his desperately cautious stare, and his silence that carried more weight than gold.

I should have died that night. Instead, I crossed the moonlit bridge and never returned.
I let rivalry win. If only that had been enough to keep us all safe. If only we didn’t have a bridge between us.

Book Tour: On Toby's Terms by Charmaine Hammond

Celebrating ten years of On Toby's Terms!

When Charmaine and her husband adopted Toby, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, they figured he might need some adjusting time, but they certainly didn’t think he’d be a holy terror, beset by severe anxiety and destructive behavior that would take a miracle to curb. Turns out, Toby routinely opened and emptied closets, turned on water taps, and pulled things from the bookshelves. Oddest of all was his penchant for locking himself in the bathroom, and then push the lid of the toilet tank onto the floor, smashing it to pieces. After a particularly disastrous encounter with the knife-block in the kitchen—and when the couple discovered Toby’s blood and paw prints on the phone—Charmaine decided Toby needed professional help.

Meet Toby Snr
A. Wells Photography
In an effort to get Toby’s behaviour under control, a K9 behaviourist worked with Toby on his behavioural issues and stated that Toby was a dog who needed a job, a purpose. Christopher and Charmaine found Toby a job as an Animal Assisted Therapy dog. After training and testing, Toby was approved as a volunteer with Chimo Animal Assisted Therapy and received a volunteer placement at an adult mental health hospital.

Wednesdays with Toby were life changing for the patients he visited, as well as for Charmaine and Christopher. While Toby was bringing unconditional acceptance and happiness to those he visited at the hospital, he was also becoming a teacher for Charmaine and Christopher, teaching them powerful life lessons, about patience, purpose, persistence, the power of unconditional acceptance, and showing up as your authentic self.

The patients that Toby worked with at the hospital and all of the children that he met in schools experienced the benefits of a therapy dog’s whose mission in life was to leave pawprints on hearts everywhere he went x

Book Review: Fearless to Love by Harlow Layne

My Review:
Fearless to Love is the seventh installment of the Written in the Stars series, each written by a different author. This was the first book I read in the series. It is my second book by this author. I never wanted to put it down. This is Dante and Lily's story.

Dante Ricci is twenty seven years old and is the owner of a club called Flux. His now ex-partner left him in the lurch so Dante has been working long hours trying to straighten everything out and hire someone new to help take some of the burden off him. It’s after a long night at work when he just couldn’t bring himself to go home to his empty house so instead he went for a drive, ending up in Fairlane outside a bar.

Lily Valenti is twenty four years old and lives by herself just outside of town. Lily is successful in her own right, but still, due to a past bad relationship, struggles a bit with self confidence. She noticed Dante the minute he came in to the bar, but when he asked her for her phone number, she was hesitant.

Sparks flew between them from the first moment they met and it made for a really cute story.

I’m thinking I’m going to have to check out the other novellas in this series of standalones as well.

I received an advance copy of this book. I am voluntarily giving my honest review, and I plan to buy this book when it becomes available.

Book Review: Survive Me by Chelsea McDonald

My Review:

Another awesome read by this author. This is Katie and Evan's story. I was so emotionally caught up in this book I couldn’t even put it down. Great characters and a great story with characters from previous books included too. Just like the other Vibrations novellas this story captured me right from the start and I would highly recommend it.
