Review:

Connected by the Sea is book #1 in the Hawaiian Crush series.

This is my first E. L. Todd book that I have read.

Sydney is attending University of Hawaii on Oahu. She is majoring in Marine Biology. She loves her friends, job and school. Since her ex-boyfriend cheated on her six months ago she hasn’t moved onto anybody new yet.

Coen is also attending the University of Hawaii and has a class with Sydney. He comes across as a bad boy that breaks hearts wherever he goes but underneath he is anything but that. Coen is a hot and sexy man who has not found Ms. Right until Sydney. He is a lot smarter than anyone gives him credit for.

Coen catches Sydney’s eye she is immediately attracted to him. She refused to let herself feel that way because he is a heartbreaker just like her ex was. But when she is called to her professor’s office because she is asked to tutor someone, she doesn’t realize it is Coen.

The chemistry between Coen and Sydney is explosive. While the relationship seemed to progress very fast I like that they did not get into bed together right away.

Book Review: Our New Love by Melissa Foster

Genre: Contemporary Romance, New Adult Romance
Publisher: World Literary Press

No. of pages: 56
ISBN: 978-1-941-48045-8

Review:

If you have not read Bursting with Love I recommend reading it first.

This is an update on Jack Remington and Savannah Braden. The bonus is that many of the other Braden’s and Remington’s make appearances in this short story also. It is great to catch up and see how the family had grown, who has gotten engaged and who is finally married.

The sweet part of this story is that Savannah is pregnant. Jack is still fighting his demons and fears. Savannah is still working to calm him and accept his history.  Yet their life is wonderful and happy.

Cover Reveal: Dimension Drift Prequel 1 by Christina Bauer

Dimension Drift Prequel 1
Christina Bauer
Publication date: March 28th 2017
Genres: Dystopian, Fantasy, Young Adult
Truth time. I go to a Learning Squirrel High School. Don’t judge.
On second thought, judge away. Learning Squirrel is one step above attending class in a junkyard. But what do you expect? Everything’s made out of garbage these days. At least, I have my freelance work to keep Mom and me housed, clothed, and fed. How? I’m your regular high school science geek for hire… only my work manipulates space-time. These gigs pay really well, but the government wants people like me dead. Good thing I’m super careful about hiding from their detection systems.
Then I screw up a job. Badly. My house slips into two-dimensional space-time. It only lasts for a few seconds, but the move still sets off about a dozen government alarms. If they track me down, Mom and I are good as dead. Long story short, I need to pay someone off, hide the evidence, and keep us safe.
Unfortunately, that means asking the Scythe for help. He runs the local underground crime scene and has absolutely no conscience. Or I’m pretty sure he doesn’t. It’s hard to think straight when a guy’s that hot in an evil Mafioso kingpin kind of way. More importantly, he’s a crime lord who can conceal my slip-up with a few clicks on his minion’s computer keyboards. But the Scythe has his price. In this case, he wants me to finish a certain dimensional prototype for him in twenty-four hours. I can do it, but it might mean Learning Squirrel High gets blown up in the process.
I’ve gotten out of worse scrapes. Maybe.

French Fries With A Side of Guys
Rebekah L. Purdy
Published by: Swoon Romance
Publication date: September 14th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Young Adult
Payton Carter is one of six kids (all of which are named after famous football players), not to mention the only girl in the Carter household. With this much testosterone and no mother, it’s no wonder she’s absolutely clueless when it comes to makeup, dances, and talking to guys she’s crushing on. And now she’s about ready to start her freshman year of high school, which is nerve wrenching enough, but when she ends up running into her crush, Chance Montgomery, at her dad’s sports restaurant, she finds out that the quarterback for their rival team is moving to Aller Falls. This is nothing short of fate.
Payton realizes she has to find a way to impress Chance and get him to ask her out or at least know she’s interested in him—preferably without dropping a plateful of fries on his head, like she did last time. After taking her two oldest brothers’ advice, she decides to go out for the freshman football team, figuring that between practices and games she and her crush will surely be able to talk. And maybe talking will lead to something more permanent or at least to a first kiss. Only this plan backfires in ways she never imagined, when she beats Chance Montgomery out of the starting quarterback position. Now not only does she make him the laughing stock of the team, but also has to figure out how to avoid the snotty cheerleaders, a traitor best friend, not to mention winning games for her team. Too bad this is just the beginning of her freshman year.

Author Bio:
Rebekah was born and raised in Michigan where she spent many late nights armed with a good book and a flashlight. She’s lived in Michigan most of her life other than the few years she spent in the U.S. Army. At which time she got a chance to experience Missouri, Kansas, South Carolina, and California. Rebekah has a business degree from University of Phoenix and currently works full time for the court system. In her free time she writes YA stories, anything from YA Fantasy to YA Contemporary Romance. Rebekah also has a big family (6 kids) she likes to consider her family as the modern day Brady Bunch complete with crazy road trips and game nights. When not hiding at her computer, Rebekah enjoys reading, singing, soccer, swimming, football, camping, playing video games, traveling, and hanging out with her family and gazillion pets.

Nobody’s perfect.
We all have our faults.

GRACE DAWSON is desperate. Her father and brother are dead and her mum is in prison for killing the man who attacked Grace. She is about to turn eighteen and is homeless. Her options are limited and life is bleak.
NOAH CARTER is twenty-four, a writer, and burdened by responsibility. Forced to live in the same small town he grew up in, he knows it would be wrong to wish for a different life.
Noah’s offer of a place to stay is borne of generosity but spending so much time together means it isn’t long before their feelings grow beyond friendship. Will the challenges each of them faces prove too much for their relationship? Can they overcome their own faults to forgive each other’s?
FAULT is a story about love, loss, family and forgiveness. It’s a story about life.

Author Bio:
Nicola Hudson loves books: reading them, talking about them...and writing them! She comes from Birmingham, England but has a love of most things American (including Red Vines, Vegas and the word y'all).
Nicola has always been an avid reader but, after somehow stumbling her way into New Adult, she has become addicted to the category. After reading Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and Easy by Tammara Webber, Nicola could no longer fight the urge to pick up a pen (well, switch on her laptop) and start writing. Several months later, her first novel CURVE was released.
Nicola's second novel, HEART, releases in November 2014. The third, and final, novel in the Define series, Fault, will be released in Autumn 2016.
If you want to find out more about Nicola, her writing or even just her sometimes random musings on life, please do look her up on Facebook, Twitter or on www.nicolahudsonauthor.com
