Release Blitz: Losing Time by Chris Karlsen + Giveaway

Title: Losing Time (Knights in Time Book 5)
Author: Chris Karlsen
Genre: Historical Romance (With time travel elements)
Release Date: September 16, 2018

Can love survive the wrong time and place? Felicia Wycliff’s peaceful stroll through the woods turned to disaster when her dachshund bolted after a rabbit. One minute Felicia was running after the determined little dog, the next she was hurled to the ground. Gathering her wits after her tumble, she brushed herself off and continued her pursuit—-right into three mounted knights who blocked her path. They were so authentic looking. They might’ve stepped from the keep of the nearby castle, Elysian Fields. But the old Norman fortress was a ruin and had been for three hundred years. “Seize her,” the middle knight ordered, the knight who sat tallest in the saddle. “Let me go.” She fought, striking out when the two knights grabbed her. “Who the deuce are you?” “I’m the Captain of the Baron’s Guard, and you are trespassing.” Kidnapped, her confusion and fear consumed her. But when they rode through the gates of Elysian Fields, the castle looking as formidable as the date it was built, her terror exploded. When she fell she knew exactly where she was. But where the devil had she landed?

I was born and raised in Chicago. My father was a history professor and my mother was, and is, a voracious reader. I grew up with a love of history and books. My parents also love traveling, a passion they passed onto me. I wanted to see the places I read about, see the land and monuments from the time periods that fascinated me. I’ve had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout Europe, the Near East, and North Africa. I am a retired police detective. I spent twenty-five years in law enforcement with two different agencies. My desire to write came in my early teens. After I retired, I decided to pursue that dream. I write three different series. My paranormal romance series is called, Knights in Time. My romantic thriller series is Dangerous Waters. The newest is The Bloodstone Series. Each series has a different setting and some cross time periods, which I find fun to write. I currently live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and five wild and crazy rescue dogs.

Blog Tour: The Campbell Brothers Trilogy by Ju Ephraime + Giveaway

The Elusive Highlander
The Campbell Brothers Trilogy Book 1
by Ju Ephraime
Genre: Historical Romance, Time Travel

A WARRIOR TOO ELUSIVE TO CAPTURE

He is a Scottish Laird who lives in a world of Druid magic and ancient customs, hand fasted to the sister of his rival clan, MacDougall. Alasdair thought he was doing the right thing trying to bring peace to the region. But he is murdered on the eve of his wedding. Not willing to accept his death, his mother, a Druid priestess, performs a geas to keep him alive. But something went awry because, as the last word of the geas was spoken, Alasdair is trapped in time where he wanders the earth for centuries. The only one who can bring him back home is his betrothed. He has given up on ever finding her until she walks into his office in twentieth century Manhattan.

A WOMAN TOO STRONG WILLED TO TAME
Coira Ainsley is a happy-go-lucky young woman living in twenty-first century Manhattan. Her job as a travel agent takes her all over. She loves the work she does and is excellent at it. That is until she follows her client into his office and finds herself in the fourteenth century at Inveraray Keep in the Highlands of Scotland. At first, Coira thinks a prank is being played on her until she sees the giant, wearing nothing but a kilt and a studded leather strap across his massive chest approach her. Not one given to swooning, Coira finds herself welcoming the darkness that come over her as she loses consciousness, without learning that the naked giant is her betrothed from another time… another place. Will she give in and accept what has been pre-destined or will she fight to get back to the life she knows and loves?

A Knight's Love
The Campbell Brothers Trilogy Book 2

Fighting alongside his two brothers, Garvin Campbell of Clan Campbell is content to remain in the shadows. After all, he’s lived most of his adult life as a Knight Templar, and that requires him being in the shadows, not seen or heard. “Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini tuo da gloriam; (Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy Name, give glory).” That was the rule of the Templars until they were forced to disband at the request of King Philip IV "the Fair" of France.

Many of the Order's members in France were arrested and tortured. However, Scotland did not get involved in the arrests and prosecution of the Knights. There was no recognized king of the Scots, and with the Bruce having already been excommunicated, the Roman church had little say in Scottish politics, so Garvin returned to his clan to use his skills in the fight against the English for Scottish independence.
Having been told all her life to avoid the Campbells, the last thing Lady Helen is thinking about is falling in love with a Campbell, and a Knight Templar at that. She is aware the Templar Knight has taken a vow of abstinence, so when Garvin Campbell comes to her clan to deliver the decree from Robert the Bruce, Helen is unprepared for the connection she immediately feels for the knight. She dismisses it as butterflies at meeting a knight, but fate has other plans for her and Garvin, as he becomes her reason for living and he forgoes his training of remaining in the shadows as he surrenders to love.

His For the Claiming
The Campbell Brothers Trilogy book 3

Tristan (Tris) Campbell accepts the fact that his brother came back to them from the land of the fae. He accepts that life in the Highlands with his clan is fraught with strife and danger… that they will be forever warring with opposing clans for Scottish independence. What he doesn’t expect is that, like his brother Alasdair, he, too, will travel through time to find his one true love, Lady Brianne O’Connor.

Lady Brianne O’Connor has vowed never to take a husband, and as she is her father’s only child and heir, he does not dissuade her but allows her to live as she pleases. After her new husband is murdered, or so she thinks, she takes to unexplainable weeping, spending all her days and nights in her bedchamber at Kilchurn Castle mourning him. That is the only place in which she feels safe… the only room where she can be with the love of her life. She is torn with grief by his untimely death.
Tristan comes upon a woman in a vision, and now he must find a way to connect with her… a woman he is convinced he knows but, for the life of him, can’t recall from where. Bent on finding the woman who stirs his senses like no other, Tris will not rest until he can feel her in his arms again….
Will he succeed? Will Lady Brianne’s mourning finally be over?

Expert:

I’m sitting on the lifeboat and I keep scanning the crowd to find my mother and brother but I’m coming up empty. I look down at Ted and send a silent message to God. “Please God, have my family sent back to me. I miss them.” I can feel the tears start rolling down my cheeks, what if I can’t find them?
I feel the lifeboat jolt and suddenly, it’s being lowered down. I jump up to my feet, ready to leave the boat when a lady grabs my waist and pulls me back down.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she asks me. This lady is wearing one of the prettiest dresses I’ve ever seen and she has a small suitcase next to her. When she looks down at me, her face is showing fear and concern.
“I have to go and find my mom and brother.” I tell her. I am determined to go and try to find them.
“No, you are not going anywhere young lady.” Her voice is firm.     My mom has raised me to respect adults and so I do as I’m told and take a seat. This unknown woman pulls a blanket out of her suitcase and drapes it over my shoulders.
“Thank you,” I whisper to her.
I turn to her and take in her appearance. She has long brown hair that’s styled in a braid, her brown eyes are wide with shock, and she has a beauty spot just below the right corner of her eye. She is very pretty, beautiful really.
The lifeboat hits the water and the two men in this boat are rowing away from the Titanic as fast as they can. After we have gone a good distance away from the ship, all we can do now is sit and wait.
“What is your name?” the lady asks me.
“Aubrie, what is your name?” She seems to be on her own like me.
“Margaret. It’s nice to meet you Aubrie.”

Blog Tour: The Highlander's Princess Bride by Vanessa Kelly + Giveaway

The Highlander's Princess Bride
Improper Princesses Book 3
by Vanessa Kelly
Genre: Historical Romance

In Vanessa Kelly’s enchanting series, three young women descended from royalty overcome their scandalous beginnings to win the hearts of the ton’s most eligible men . . .

The illegitimate daughter of the Prince Regent might be expected to pursue various dubious professions. Actress, perhaps, or artist’s model. Even courtesan. Victoria Knight, however, has become a governess—a respectable choice, until she travels to Scotland to meet her new charges. The younger brothers of Nicholas Kendrick, Earl of Arnprior, aren’t children at all. They’re brawny, wild Highland men. As for the Earl, he’s handsome, guarded, and far too compelling . . . especially for a woman hiding a dark secret.
Nick needs a proper teacher to transform his unmarriageable brothers—and a sensible,
straight-laced wife for himself. Miss Knight seems to fit the bill on both counts. But he soon discovers there is more to Victoria than he thought. It’s not just her notorious origins, or the danger that’s followed her all the way to Scotland. It’s the fiery loyalty beneath that sedate façade. This, the real Victoria, is the woman Nick is starting to desire so desperately. And what an earl wants, he’ll use every seductive means to get . . .
