Author picAuthor bio

Claire feels like she sprang into existence, a full blown personality, just like her books. She believes she is made from her imaginary dragons that lived in her closet when she was eight, her half feral imaginary friend, Jennifer, who lived in the Girl Scout Camp woods when she was ten and finally started growing up with her Water Brothers when she was sixteen. Claire has had many living reincarnations in her life time before becoming an author. She has been a poet, a healer, midwife, nurse, artisan, mother, grandmother, wife and lover. She and her dear husband (he claims she rescued him, she says it was the other way around) live with their four rescue birds, three rescue dogs and one rescue fish in the wilds of Tennessee in a house with at least two ghosts.

Review:

Double Life is Mila’s debut story and it won’t be my last from her. I look forward to future stories from her. I loved this story. My only complaint was that I wished it had been longer.

This story was hot and steamy it kept you on your toes. I loved the characters and the writing. The story starts really quickly and pulls you into the life of Sonya/ Ruby. She is undercover trying to get the goods on Viktor, but the chemistry between them is undeniable.

Review:

Cursed is the first book in the Price of Magic series.

This story grabbed my attention from start to finish. If you like fantasy or you are even remotely interested you should definitely pick this book up.

Fiona Mandrake is no ordinary witch, because of her ability to divine the future. Fiona has visions of dark Fey who started a war between the realms that killed her parents.

Sloane Blackwell’s unique abilities and his link to the Fey aid Fiona in her quest to end the war between the realms. But magic comes with a price.

I love the storyline and the characters. Fiona is very powerful and must take down the threat to save her coven. When Sloane reunited with Fiona you could feel how much they meant to each other. There were so many twists and turns throughout this book, I never knew what to expect. I can’t wait for the next book to read what happens next.

Time...escaping his past, struggling with the present, looking towards his future.

Time... a gift, precious, fleeting, ever-changing, moving quickly... too quickly, especially for a man searching for the woman of his dreams.

That's exactly how photographer Tommy Conte decided he would begin his new life. He left everything he knew behind in search of something special... someone special. His plan was clear. He would move to the beach, renovate an old shore house and find the woman that he would ultimately marry... all within six months.

Was he delusional? Perhaps... yet after everything that had gone on in his life the last few years, he had to take that chance.

Then... as luck would have it, he met Jade Stanton, his new neighbor. Tommy was immediately drawn to her. He wanted and needed to know more.

Perfect right? Wrong...

There was one small problem. Jade wasn't looking for a long-term relationship like Tommy was. She was done... over it. She swore off anything serious with any man that came her way... until she was backed into a corner and Tommy came to her rescue.

He pretended to be her boyfriend.... for just one evening.

It was simple, no strings attached. It was only one night, or so she thought.

Due to circumstances beyond her control, Jade needed Tommy to play his part for a little while longer. She didn't think it would be a problem. Tommy was fine with it and they both knew it was all just an act. Yet, Jade came to realize the more she pretended, the more she couldn't deny that she was falling for him. Although she didn't want Tommy to find out, Tommy knew better, he felt it too.

Tommy realized that the girl he had dreamed of was right there in front of him; and the life he wanted to share with her was finally within his grasp. He decided he couldn't let her slip away. He wouldn't leave it up to fate. He had to try, but Tommy also knew it wouldn't be easy. Actually, it would be the hardest thing he ever had to do... prove to Jade that she could trust him enough to love him, as much as he loved her.

Book Review: Seaside Sunsets
Author: Melissa Foster
Genre: Contemporary Romance, New Adult Romance
Publisher: EverAfter Romance
Release Date: 16th December 2014
No. of pages: 360
ISBN: 978-1-941-48006-9
Rating: 5/5

Review:

Seaside Sunsets is book #26 in the Love in Bloom series and is book #3 in the Seaside Summers series but can be read as a standalone.

Jessica Ayers has lived a sheltered life with little more than cello lessons and practices taking up her day. Now a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, she takes a vacation in the Seaside community in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

Jamie is at the cape with his grandmother Vera. He invented the next Google search engine, making him one of the most sought after business and dating targets. His conversation is so different with Jessica because she has no idea who he is or anything about what he does, causing Jamie at first to be skeptical yet seriously intrigued.

I enjoyed reading about the secondary characters from the other books in the series. They made me feel like I was part of the group observing the romance between Jamie and Jessica.

Louise couldn’t forgive herself and Cody couldn’t forgive his father. Neither of them was going to prosper until they learnt to forgive.

I loved the relationship between Louise and Cody interesting. There were times it was also painful.

This is my first London Michelle story and it won’t be my last. This is the first book in the Wine Tasting series.

The Wine Tasting series is a fast paced, erotic tale of Ryker and Giselle. The books are short stories and can easily be read in one sitting.

Giselle’s parents are divorced and her father is remarried and living a good life. Her mother struggles to get by, which causes Giselle to be angry at her father. She is not happy when she is told to visit her father’s house for the last week of summer. Until she meets Ryker, her stepmother’s nephew. The attraction between Giselle and Ryker is quick and steamy.

This was an amazing read. Kept me entertained and wanting more. I look forward to the next book to see what happens next.

Review:

This is my first Anya Forest book and it won’t be my last.

This is the first book in the Maniototo Skies series. This is the story of Marina and Daniel.

Marina Bryant left New Zealand to make something of herself. After studying art in Europe for six years, she returns to her Maniototo hometown to find the people have changed but the memories haven’t and not all of them are happy ones.

Daniel Kent broke Marina’s heart so she could find herself elsewhere. When she returns years later he tries to tell himself he’s moved on completely.

As they reconnect jealousy and bad luck conspire to rip them part. Are they destined to be together or have they missed their one chance at love?

I enjoyed this story and that it was set in New Zealand. I found it hard to put down. There was a good range of secondary characters.
